ROCHESTER, MN – For the second time in three years, the Columbus State volleyball team earned a trip to the NJCAA DIII Semifinals after a 3-0 sweep over No. 6 Jamestown on Thursday night at Rochester Community & Technical College.

Inside the Match:

-No. 3 Columbus State (27-9) vs. No. 6 Jamestown (29-6)

-Final scores were 25-15, 25-16 25-15

-The Cougars last made an appearance in the semifinals in 2017, ending in with a fourth place finish.

Key Statistics:

-The Cougars held the Jayhawks a 0.66 hitting percentage while offensively hitting .243.

-Bobby Diamond led all players with 14 kills and four total blocks.

-Akea Hunter had eight kills on 14 errorless swings for a .571 pace.

-Audrey Jenkins tallied 23 assists along with four kills, a game-high two aces, and seven digs.

-Edan Jones and Tate Rybarczyk accumulated 17 and 15 digs respectively.

-One of the nation's best blocking teams, Columbus State significantly out-blocked Jamestown.
