POWELL, Ohio -- The Columbus State women's golf team pulled off a third place finish at the Ohio Wesleyan Invitational this weekend. A field of ten teams, Columbus State (351-333 --684) finished only behind Wooster (321-329--650) and Ohio Wesleyan (352-331--683) at the Safari Golf Club.
Sophomore Sean Pusey led the way for the Cougars, tying for fifth in a field of 59 participants. Pusey shot a team-low 85 on day one and a 83 in the final round. Placing 11th overall, sophomore Rafaella Gioffre shot 91 on day one and a team-low 79 in the final round.
Closely behind Gioffre were sophomore Kellie Feehan and freshman Sydney Kelly with a 97-85--172 and a 88-86--174 respectively. Sophomore Claudia Podolski (100-94--194) rounded out Columbus State's lineup.
