PORT HURON, Michigan – The Columbus State men's basketball team conclude the weekend 1-1 after splitting a pair of games on the road.

Inside the Games

-Defeated DII Kellogg and lost to DII Muskegon

- Record: 4-3 overall

Game One: Columbus State 96, Kellogg 81

-The Cougars out-rebounded Kellogg 52-27 and tied their season-high 12 steals in the win.

Key Statistics

-Shawn Hawkins led the Cougars with 22 points while shooting 75%. He also pulled down eight rebounds and grabbed a team-high three steals.

-Jeremiah Green had 15 points on 7-for-10 shooting while Jaiden Woodley nearly had a double-double with ten points and nine rebounds.

Game Two: Columbus State 63, Muskegon 85

-Held to a 31.9% shooting percentage, the Cougars managed 73.9% at the line.

-The 15-point loss is the largest defeat for Columbus State this season.

-Keshawn Underwood led the Cougars in points (11) and rebounds (9).

-Shawn Hawkins scored eight points on perfect shooting: 3-for-3 FG% and 2-2 FT%.
