COLUMBUS, Ohio – A balanced attack for Columbus State led the Cougars to a victory over conference rival Lorain County on Wednesday evening in the Delaware Hall Athletic Center.

- Record: Columbus State (9-4, 6-0 OCCAC), Lorain County (10-8, 2-4 OCCAC)
-The Cougars seized the lead early on, allowing only one tie in the first two minutes of the game.
-Columbus State led by as many as 37 points (2nd quarter).
-The Cougars scored 26 points off of Lorain County's 25 turnovers.
-Corey Baker scored 14 points and grabbed a game-high nine rebounds. The freshman also committed zero turnovers in 34 minutes of action.
-Shawn Hawkins recorded 13 points and along with Baker, had four assists and three steals.
-Jeremiah Green rounded out the double figures with 11 rebounds to go along with his eight points.

-The game saw the highest accumulated numbers for the season in blocks (6) and steals (17).

-Baker leads his team in rebounds with 6.2 and assists with 3.8 per game.
-Hawkins leads the team in steals per game with 2.2.
-Bennett leads the Cougars in free throw percentage, making 82.1% at the line.
The Cougars will host the Tri-C Triceratops on Sun, Jan. 20 at 7:00 p.m. The game, originally scheduled for Saturday, was moved to Sunday due to possible inclement weather.
