DAYTON, Ohio -- The Columbus State men's basketball team completes a season sweep over the Sinclair Tartan Pride on Saturday, winning 84-75 to improve to 7-4 in OCCAC play and 13-7 overall.  Sinclair drops to 12-13 overall and 3-9 in league play.

The Cougars jumped on Sinclair early, leading by eleven points at the half. The Tartan Pride fought to narrow the deficit in the second half but could not make up for their first half struggles in the game.

Mario Young scored a game-high 26 points on 11-for-18 shooting from the field to go along with snagging ten rebounds for his tenth season double-double. Matthew Gierhart continued his hot streak with a third straight double-double on 19 points and 14 boards.

Chris Byrd sunk in 12 points, grabbed a half dozen rebounds, and dished out a team-high three assists. Anthony Butler added nine points while Zion Parham and Austin Bennett each chipped in eight points. Parham and Butler each snatched two steals.

The Cougars return to action on Monday, when they head to Lakeland for a makeup game at 7:30 p.m.
