Balanced Attack Leads Cougars to 3-0 Win Over OU-Chillicothe

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Effective hitting and blocking can be credited to the Cougars straight set victory over OU-Chillicothe on Friday in the Delaware Hall Athletic Center.

The Cougars attacked at an efficient .418 hitting percentage while putting up ten total blocks. Bobby Diamond led the offense with ten kills on .562 hitting while matching her career-high of five digs. Edan Jones knocked down eight kills and had a trio of aces while Tanya Yeauger tallied seven successful attacks and a career-high four assisted blocks.

Georgia Payne registered six kills while Audrey Jenkins and Whitney Staggs chipped in three kills with no errors. Jenkins and Payne directed the offense with 23 and 15 assists respectively.

On defense, Megan Mechlin recorded 13 digs while Samantha Dunn posted eight digs. Jones and Jenkins added six digs. Payne and Staggs totaled four blocks.
