Volleyball Earns 3-1 Win over Cuyahoga

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Columbus State volleyball team picked up their fourth straight win in four sets, (25-19, 23-25, 25-16, 25-14) on Friday night as they defeated DII Cuyahoga Community College. 

The team averaged a .242 attack percentage while holding Cuyahoga to .172. The Cougars also recorded a season-high 85 digs in the victory.

Four Cougars scored double-digit kills in the win. Georgia Payne led the game with 15 kills on .375 hitting while Edan Jones executed 14 successful attacks. Bobby Diamond and Tanya Yeauger registered 13 and 11 kills respectively. Audrey Jenkins dished out 27 helpers in the effort. 

Jones and Megan Mechlin combined for 37 digs while Samantha Dunn and Danielle Miller scooped up 14 and 11 digs respectively.

Yeauger had a team-high four blocks while she, Diamond, Payne, and Dunn each tallied two aces.

The Cougars return to action on Saturday, hosting Lakeland at 11:00 a.m.
