Defense leads to another conference win.

KIRKLAND, Ohio – The No. 7 Columbus State volleyball team (10-4) secured another conference win against the Lakeland Lakers (6-9) 25-18, 23-25, 25-18, 14. The Cougars are currently ranked third in the OCCAC. 

Alaina Monroe had a break out performance offensively for the Cougars recording 11 kills from the outside. Allyse Rutter continued her all around dominance recording another triple - double with 12 kills, 24 assist, and 13 digs. Morgan Danec and Abigail Lucas recorded 8 kills contributing to the well-rounded offensive performance from the Cougars.

Lucas and Georgia Payne led the defensive effort combining for 12 total blocks. Haley Litman scooped up 25 digs, followed by Olivia Dunham's fifteen leading the team in the backrow. Ralston also tallied ten digs to go along with a team-high .430 attack percentage.

Next, the Cougars will travel to Springfield, OH for a match against the Clark State Eagles at 6:00pm.
