COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Cougar athletics department is pleased to announce the promotional schedule for the 2016-17 volleyball season. The Blue and White will kick off their home schedule with FACULTY & STAFF APPRECIATION NIGHT on Wed, Aug. 31 at 6PM. The event will coincide with the annual Welcome Back event sponsored by Student Engagement & Leadership. Columbus State faculty and staff are welcome to attend the match with up to two guests for free.
On Sat, Sep. 24, the Cougars are hosting YOUTH DAY, which will connect local school and club organizations with the Columbus State volleyball program. Match time is 11AM. The team will stay after to chat with young fans. Admission for youth is only $1.00.
Sat, Oct. 1 will be Columbus State's VOLLEY FOR THE CURE: ALL CANCER tri-match. The Cougars take on Lakeland at 11AM and Hocking at 2PM. The team will be wearing pink during the match while fans are encouraged to do the same to show their support for those struggling with cancer. All proceeds from ticket sales will be donate to the American Cancer Society.
The volleyball team would like to show its gratitude toward fellow students with COLUMBUS STATE STUDENT NIGHT on Wed, Oct. 5. Students must show Cougar ID at the door to receive a raffle ticket for drawings held throughout the match, which begins at 6PM.
Sat, Oct. 8 will be MILITARY APPRECIATION DAY. All active and retired military with a valid ID are welcome to attend with their families at no cost. Prior to the start of the 11AM match, the PA Announcer will acknowledge those in attendance for their service.
Alumni of the Cougar athletics program are encouraged to attend the ALUMNI DAY celebration on Sat, Oct. 22. Alumni of the volleyball program will be granted free admission and recognized on the court before the 11AM match starts.
The final home match of the season is Wed, Oct. 26 at 6PM, when the Cougar family will bid farewell to another sophomore class on SOPHOMORE DAY.
As in past seasons, the Cougars will be available after every match to sign autographs or take photos in the gymnasium. Pick up a 2016 fall sports media guide for just $2 at the admission table or bring your own item to have signed!

Saturday, September 24– Youth Day

This weekend game will connect local high schools and youth organizations with the CSCC volleyball program. Following the conclusion of the match, CSCC players will be available for a meet & greet with fans.
Opponent: Lakeland/Hocking | Match time: 11AM/2PM
Fans are encouraged to wear pink to the game to help generate awareness for the fight against breast cancer. All ticket sales and donations collected will be sent to the American Cancer Society.
Wednesday, October 5 – Columbus State Student Night
Opponent: Cincinnati State | Match time: 6PM
Columbus States students are encouraged to attend this game for a chance to win prizes!
Saturday, October 8 - Military Appreciation Day
Opponent: Cuyahoga | Match time: 11AM
Local military personnel are invited to attend this game for free.
Active and retired military will be recognized by the PA Announcer so we can give them the proper thanks they deserve.
Saturday, October 22 - Alumni Day

All CSCC alumni are encouraged to attend the volleyball game. Alumni of the volleyball program will be granted free admission.
Wednesday, October 26 – Sophomore Day
Opponent: Edison State | Match time: 6PM
Our sophomores will be recognized in a pregame ceremony, following their last match ever at the Delaware Hall gymnasium.
