COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Columbus State women's basketball team defeated the Lorain County Commodores to advance to the Region XII DIII final and face No. 1 seed Owens.

- Whitney Staggs led the Cougars with a team-high 18 points and a game-high 18 boards. She also had a team-best four steals.

-Melia Walder and Saraysia Nelson each added 11 points while Tezzaeria Christian chipped in ten points. 

-McKenna Cummins had nine points and 12 boards for the Cougars.

-Nelson led the game with seven assists and two blocks.
