COLUMBUS, Ohio – Freshman Whitney Staggs led all players in all five categories in the Cougars' victory over Lorain County Community College Wednesday evening in the Delaware Hall Athletic Center.

- Record: Columbus State (3-10, 2-4 OCCAC), Lorain County (8-10, 2-4 OCCAC)
-The Cougars seized the lead from the get-go, scoring the first 14 points of the game.
-Columbus State led by as many as 22 points (3rd quarter).
-The Cougars scored 33 points off of Lorain County's 27 turnovers.
-Staggs led all scorers with 34 points, her second highest career scoring in a game. She also pulled down 17 rebounds for her 12th career double-double. The Whetstone grad also had a career high in assists (7) and steals (6) while smacking down a game-high two blocks.
-Melia Walder had her third straight double-double with a career-high 19 points along with 14 boards.
-Saraysia Nelson saw career highs for points (16) and steals (5).
-Rahnia Price rounds out the double-figure scoring with ten points.
-The game saw the second-highest accumulated numbers for the season in four categories: points (90), rebounds (60), assists (22), and steals (17).

-Staggs currently leads the conference in rebounds per game (14.3).
The Cougars will host the Tri-C Triceratops on Sun, Jan. 20 at 5:00 p.m. The game, originally scheduled for Saturday, was moved to Sunday due to possible inclement weather.
