Ohio State-Club Defeats Cougars in Non-League Action

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State University's club team defeated Columbus State 72-54 on Wednesday evening in non-league action on the Cougars' home court.

Whitney Staggs led the Cougars with her third straight double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds. Malia Williams and Tezzaeria Christian each tallied eight points while Saraysia Nelson scored seven points for the Cougars. Melia Walder and Madison Miles each added five points while Walder pulled down a game-high 14 rebounds.

The Cougars led in the first quarter but shooting woes plagued them after the half. Ohio State-Club scored 24 points off of Columbus State's 22 turnovers.

Columbus State is back in action on Saturday afternoon, hosting Erie Community College. Tip-off is 1:00 p.m.
