PIQUA, Ohio – The Columbus State women's basketball team concludes conference and regular season play with a 79-69 loss to Edison on Saturday afternoon.
Columbus State (11-14, 7-8 OCCAC) trailed by ten points at halftime with the Chargers and Cougars each scoring 39 points in the next two quarters.
Carli Codner-Pinto and Allyse Rutter led Columbus State with 17 points apiece. Codner-Pinto's 17 points puts her at 1,063 career points and at the top of the all-time scoring record for Columbus State basketball.
Hunter Kershaw added 12 points while Antishay Rahim sunk in nine points and snatched four steals for the Cougars. Katlyn Ray and Keyvona Davis chipped in eight and six points respectively. Rahim and Davis each pulled down eleven rebounds while Rutter dished out a team-high five assists and grabbed four steals.
Next up for the Cougars is the Region XII DIII Championship game vs. Hocking College (4-24). Tip-off is at 5:30 p.m. at Ohio Christian University.
