Cougar Cross Country Finishes Regular Season at Jenna Strong Fall Classic

WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Columbus State cross country team concludes regular season competition with a 32nd place finish at the annual Jenna Strong Fall Classic hosted by Wilmington College.

The men's team ran eight individuals in Friday's eight-kilometer race that featured 369 runners.

Three Cougar runners crossed the line with sub-30 minutes finishes. Freshman Kyle Roach ran in with a time of 29:05.5 while Kennelly finished closely behind him with a 29:12.8 time. Freshman Anas Nur finished in 29:30.9.

Freshmen Reed Farmer and Dylan Williams rounded out the scoring effort with times of 30:53.6 and 31:28.2 respectively.

The other three runners all crossed the line within eight seconds of each other. Sophomores Laithe Abu-Obeid and Anthony Gripper finished the race in 32:15.6 and 32:18.4 while freshman Nickolas Caiazza ran the race in 32:22.0.

In the 5k women's race, Maribel Nava finished with a time of 27:42.7.

The Cougars will have a couple weeks before competing again when they travel to Lansing, Michigan for the Region XII Championships on Sat, Oct. 27th.
