Men's cross country team capture first place finish, advance to national meet

LANSING, Mich. - The Columbus State men's cross country team took first place in the NJCAA DIII Region XII meet held at the Grand Woods Park in Lansing on Saturday.

Sophomore Adam Glass was runner-up in the 8k race with a time of 28:37.8. He was followed by Sophomore Cody Null who finished fourth with a time of 29.48.1 and Freshman Aaron Kennelly who finished fifth with a time of 30:10.5. Rounding out Columbus State's scoring was Zach Leahy and Laithe Abu-Obeid who finished with times of 31:08.6 and 32:10.8, respectively.

Adam Glass and Cody Null were named to the Region XII DIII All-Region team. Madeline Bodie was also named to the All-Region XII team for the Lady Cougars.

The men will race in the NJCAA DIII National Championship on Sat, Nov. 4 in Holyoke, Massachusetts.
