CEDARVILLE, Ohio - The Columbus State men's cross country team finished 45th of 47 teams competing at the All-Ohio Cross Country Meet, hosted by Cedarville University. As a team, the Cougars recorded a 31:52 average time in the 8k race.
The teams comprised of ten NCAA DI teams, 12 NCAA DII and NAIA teams, 19 NCAA DIII teams and six junior colleges and running clubs. A total of 647 runners competed and finished the race.
Kunal Verma was the first Cougar to cross the finish line, notching a 28:55.65 time, resulting in a 446th place finish. Verma was followed by Lucas Collins, who finished in 584th place with 32:02.21. Glauco Fontgalland clocked 596th place with a time of 32:17.3, while Thomas Shaw (32:59.17), Sidney Campbell (33:01.19), Jesus Davis (35:53.94), and Kevin Chenault (36:08.89) rounded out the team's top-seven finishers.
Joseph Stewart of Miami University won the race with 24:18.83.

After a weekend off, the team returns to competition on Saturday, October 17 when they head to the Oberlin Invitational in Oberlin, Ohio.
