COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Columbus State men's golf team finished second of eight participants at the Liberty Fall Invitational hosted by Indiana University-East at the Liberty Country Club.
At the conclusion of Day 1, the Cougars were in first, led by sophomore Clay Bryan (Columbus Grove/Columbus Grove HS). By Day 2, Cincinnati State pulled ahead to won the invitational by five strokes. Sophomore Michael Maxwell (Mentor/Chardon HS) tied for fourth overall with scores of 75 and 77, sophomores Clay Bryan and Michael Powers (Bucyrus/Wynford HS) tied for 6th with 70 and 83 and 74 and 79 respectively, and freshman Zachary Griffith (Hilliard/Hilliard Davidson HS) tied for 9th with scores of 78 and 77.
On Friday, the men's golf team heads north to Harrod to compete in the Polar Bear Classic hosted by Ohio Northern University at the Colonial Golf Club. Tee time is 8:30 a.m.
