COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Columbus State men's basketball team (4-3, 3-0 OCCAC) secured their third conference win of the season, defeating Sinclair (5-3, 1- OCCAC) in a comeback win on Saturday afternoon.
Freshman Shawn Hawkins had his best performance of the year, contributing 15 points and seven rebounds in the effort along with not committing a single turnover in 25 minutes of action.
Melieck Evans collected his first career double-double with 12 points and a team-high 10 rebounds. A.J. Smith scored 11 points, including a trio from behind the arc, while Jeremiah Green tallied eight points. Smith had the team's only steals of the game (2).
Next up, the Cougars travel to New York to take on DII's Jamestown and Erie Community Colleges Fri, Dec. 7 – Sat, Dec. 8.
