Baker Powers Cougars Past Ohio State-Club

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Freshman Corey Baker's 18 points and 13 rebounds led the Cougars to a 80-65 win over Ohio State University's club team on Wednesday evening.

The Pickerington North grad also had three assists, three steals, and one block on the night.

Jeremiah Green scored 12 points on 5-for-7 shooting along with two assists while Antwon Hampton had nine points, going 7-for-8 at the line and two steals.

Keshawn Underwood drained the team's only three pointer while tallying seven points, and a trio of rebounds, assists, and steals.

Sophomores Melieck Evans and Austin Bennett each scored six points while Shawn Hawkins, Charles Aden, and A.J. Smith added four points apiece.

After an early lead by Ohio State-Club, the Cougars took control midway through the first half and never looked back. They converted the Ballstars 20 turnovers into 24 points and out-shot Ohio State-Club in field goal percentage (43.5%-33.8%) and at the line (76%-50%).

The Cougars return to action this Saturday, November 17 at 3:00 p.m. They host Erie Community College in the Delaware Hall Athletic Center.
